Story

Taking this project from concept to completion was one of the most memorable projects we've ever completed. The client was very receptive to our design ideas as long as they aligned with her vision.

With a firm deadline in place prior to her birthday party we set to work tackling the many unique aspects of this build.

Notice the black accents scattered throughout to compliment the Fiberon PVC decking and cedar skirting.

One of the biggest challenges was lifting the steel I-beam pergola into place as using a crane wasn't an option. The pie shaped lot, limited access and mature trees meant we had to be creative to secure the frame while maintaining the safety of our deck installers.

The patio heaters were special ordered from Ontario but the manufacturer sold us the wrong ones and there wasn't enough time to correct the error once they arrived on site. We were able to correct this on site and worked closely with city inspectors and plumbers to ensure they were approved.

With all the custom features of this deck project, we allowed a lot of grace in our timelines which meant we were able to wrap up before her birthday party.
